Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I am trying to run a PCI Serial Card (PEX4S553B 4-Port PCI Express Serial Card (with breakout cable)).
Hi Guys The issue has occured once more this moment. I40en 1.4.3 is NOT the solution for that problem, at least not with DELL X710 10GBE rNDC NICs FW. Just obtained the drivers for the 10GbaseT NICs on my SM X10SDV-TLN4F board from SuperMicro's tech support and was wondering if there was a quick way to inject them into my ESXi 6 install. This should work. To install the async drivers: Extract the contents of the async driver zip file.
In pas through mode on ESXi 6.0 Update 2. Under advanced settings the 'MosChip Semiconducter serial adapter show up and I have added all four of thees iterations. I then bind to a VM as four separate PCI Devices.
I am running CentOS-7 Linux -Under lspci -v each moschip serial adapter shows up and the I/O ports and irq match in dmesg grep ttyS. So as far as I can tell, everything seems to be view able and auto configuring in CentOS 7 but when testing with a loopback adapter (that works on baremetal) I am unable to loopback successfully.
Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction on what may be the issue here, since it appears to be a direct correlation to ESXI. I followed the make/make install driver instructions as well, which did not seem to help for the card itself. I am currently trying to get this to work on Linux 3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x8664.
Let me know if you need any further information or have any questions to help!
